The tenants had decided in their house meeting last year that they would like to have a summer party in the garden. Unfortunately, with the Covid restrictions we were unable to go ahead. Fast forward to this year and a party was high on the agenda again and we started planning straight away.
As it was the Queens jubilee year and we had been busy with the jubilee scarecrow competition in the village everyone decided we should have a red, white, and blue theme. Everyone made a list of who they would like to invite, and Invitations were printed and sent by the tenants. We then made a list of what we had to arrange.
It was great to be able to support the tenants to choose exactly what they wanted at their party. From what food they would like to serve to what decorations they wanted and who they wanted to come. I think they did a great job ably assisted by our team. Jackie and Paula need a special mention for the amazing job they did supporting the tenants with the food, everyone commented on how lovely it was.
It was great that so many friends and family were able to come, especially some friends that we haven’t seen for a while, plans were made to keep in touch a bit more this year now the Covid restrictions are hopefully behind us.
Happy to report that a great time was had by all. The weather also played its part with us having to break out the paddling pool. Our pooches guests – Rocky and Winne were especially pleased with this addition.
Huge thanks to everyone that came to celebrate with us. It was so wonderful to see you.
We hope to be seeing you all again soon!!
